Most of what this industry publishes about AI fairness is written for the company buying the software. This page is written for you, the person being assessed.
An employer using Cal.tn can set a minimum match score. If your CV scores below it, your application can be rejected automatically, without a person having looked at it first.
We are telling you this because it is true and because you are entitled to know it, not because we think it is ideal. Two things are worth knowing alongside it: the threshold is chosen by the employer, not by us; and when your CV cannot be read at all — a scanned or image-only PDF, most often — your application is flagged for a human to review rather than rejected.
Everything after that stage is a human decision. An AI interview produces a score and a report; it does not hire, reject or rank you into a shortlist on its own. A recruiter reads it and decides.
The specifics, including retention periods, are in our privacy policy.

We have not had our models independently audited for bias. Several larger competitors have, and publish the results; we have not, and saying otherwise would be easy and dishonest. What we can tell you is where AI is used, what it decides, and what it does not — which is this page.
